I believe that the use of enzymes should be much more widespread and the many benefits of using enzymes greatly outweigh the ease of chemicals and solvents. Use of enzymes provides less toxic working conditions as well as a better end product. If the technology is available then it should definitely be implemented into all leather processing plants. We advanced past the use of dung because it was inefficient and enzymes are now more effective than use of chemicals in this process, so we should advance past chemicals as well.
